Firmware update information

The All-mode Multi-bander TS-2000 series firmware has been updated as follows..

Kenwood is offering the firmware updating program to the TS-2000 series owners.


Updated items:
1.  7MHz band TX range is expanded to "7000kHz-7200kHz" for the TS-2000 E/E2, TS-B2000 E/E2, and TS-2000X E (European models).

2.  FM sub-audible tone functions (TONE/CTCSS/DCS) can be enabled in Satellite mode.(*1)

This firmware update revises the above items only.

Applicable models/units:

Models: TS-2000 K/E/E2, TS-B2000 K/E/E2, TS-2000X K/E

(S/Nos: From 208xxxxx through 611xxxxx)

Note: You can find the serial number imprinted on the rear panel, just below the ANT1 or ANT2 connector; it consists of an 8-digit number beginning with "S/NO."

(*1): Although the sub-audible tone functions On/Off status is stored in each Satellite memory channel, the tone frequency/code cannot be stored due to the limited memory capacity.
The tone frequency/code configuration from the normal VFO (VFO-A or VFO-B) is used instead.
(The different tone frequency/code configuration can be stored in the HF, 50 MHz, 144 MHz, 430 MHz and 1.2 GHz band VFOs separately)

: Encoding and decoding is performed according to the data from the uplink frequency.

: The tone frequency/code search function cannot be operated in Satellite mode.
